Hive 04:43
They talk around the world But never make a sound I watch it all unfurl it makes me feel so hollow you’re one among the hive you always go unnoticed just try to stay alive and maybe it’ll make some difference Here When it all goes away Eventually There’s nothing you can say To alter destiny An unforgiving world And you just want someone to Hear all the thoughts I can say Listen to what only I create I won’t be one of the hive If I can help it I will never die I sit around and wait, and waste away my days but I can’t concentrate, and always get distracted Well I try to recreate a little seratonin Nothin’ alleviates, the feelings I get drag me right back Here When it all becomes clear And I can see The only thing I fear Is only that no one will Hear all the thoughts I can say Listen to what only I create I won’t be one of the hive If I can help it I will never die Always trying Never thriving (I can’t believe that I’ve made it this far) Always staying Never changing (I can’t believe that I’ve made it this far) Ever restless I can’t take this Hear all the thoughts I can say Listen to what only I create I won’t be one of the hive If I can help it I will never die

Duster 05:25
Start with a new surface Add the colors of your dreams A favorite song A favorite melody And all the tears in between You never stopped to wonder (What would have been tomorrow) If I hadn’t simply walked away Or if you never called to ask me (What would have been tomorrow) If there were no tomorrows Would you still say you love me In my naivety In this moment The world should just disappear Our serendipity In this moment What i can’t see is clear Its not the fate that follows us Its people that are dangerous And though you can not isolate the truth When it ends I won't fade I’ll hold on to the time that we made I'll hold on to each strand of light Till it fades and we both say goodnight Find a new purpose Drop the tenor of your fears A forgotten note A wasted crescendo And all of the dreams in between You never stopped to wonder (What would have been tomorrow) If I hadn’t simply walked in Or if you never called to ask me (What would have been tomorrow) If there were no tomorrows Would you still say you loved me In my naivety In this moment The world should just disappear In our transparency In this moment What I can't see is clear Its not the fate that keeps us here Its all the tiny, little fears And though you cannot hold onto your youth When it ends I won't fade I’ll hold on to the time that we made I'll hold on to each strand of light Till it fades and we both say goodnight When it ends I won't fade I’ll hold on to the time that we made I'll hold on to each strand of light Till it fades and we both say goodnight

Spark 05:56
Glare through the mirror And haunt me, with eyes that see You're broken up, nothing split in two In every lifetime There comes a day where you must say goodbye To all who ever said they loved you Said they loved you In time, Sparks die Why should I go through that trouble in the end Each time I try To keep myself collected another issue's resurrected Tear down the pieces You put in place, Then turned away Watching from a mirror as it crumbled Every time you take a breath Im worried that one won't come next And you won't ever hear my last "I love you" And "I love you too" In time, Sparks die Why should I go through that trouble in the end Each time I try To save myself from falling off the edge In time I might Like to see the day my worries fade away I don't think It's ever Likely that I'll ever see that day Mmmmm There's another one There’s another one Far beyond your window I found you, your reflection too Staring back at me into my soul Every now and then you seem A little far away from me I hope that when I close my eyes, I still see you And you still see me too When my sparks die I'll have hoped they lit up someone else's sky When it's my time I hope that I remember all the ones who lit up mine In time, sparks die But that doesn't mean it's light had never shined so very bright In time, sparks die But I'm glad that I was able to ignite In time, sparks die But I'm glad that I was able to ignite

The moon hits a lake full of stars Our cosmos, a grand lunacy Together with no company We stare at the faint light of mars As I lie here safe in your arms With no reason to face any fear From the sounds that fill up my ears Far from home, with no old faces Wander off to distant places Finding truth to make it all clear The sun, the moon, and earth In chaotic harmony The stars, the sea, and the sky All at odds, discordantly The sun runs its course for the day Receding for solace at night Awaiting return of it’s light So we can return to the fray Never stop, never rest, never break Never think of what could’ve been Cause the truth often seems obscene Always running out of time I try to find a pantomime To free me of my selfish quarantine The sun, the moon, and earth In chaotic harmony The stars, the sea, and the sky All at odds, discordantly The earth sits alone in the wake For terribly long, till it dies A slow but entropic demise The universe’s grand mistake A life lasts a blink, give or take In the grandiose scheme of it all When two new arise, one will fall Nothing lasts beyond its limits The firmament is such a cynic Still we try to rise above it all The sun, the moon, and earth In chaotic harmony The stars, the sea, and the sky All at odds, discordantly How much are we worth? Just a drop within a pond How long will we last? Just a blink and then we’re gone

Stare Stare into the sea Fade Into the darker side of me Find The color lost inside your eyes A strange yet subtle way to lie Someones blocking the way down inside of your heart The Familiar strangers who tear you apart Always running away, finding nowhere to hide But the safest of places is never inside Count the hours with 12 little marks on the wall And impatiently wait for a telephone call To find another escape down inside of your heart Sink Sink into the sky Blame Blame it on your alibi Try to hide it all far away Someones blocking the way down inside of your heart The Familiar strangers who tear you apart Always running away, finding nowhere to hide But the safest of places is never inside Count the hours with 12 little marks on the wall And impatiently wait for a telephone call To find another escape down inside of your heart Someones blocking the way down inside of your heart These Familiar strangers who tear you apart Don’t know when to begin but they know when to start Always looking to view, never looking to act But you just never fail to find ways to distract From the sickening feelings stuck right in your heart Someones blocking the way down inside of your heart The Familiar strangers who tear you apart Someones blocking the way down inside of your heart Someones blocking the way down inside of your heart The Familiar strangers who tear you apart Someones blocking the way down inside of your heart Someones blocking the way down inside of your heart

Here we stand, beneath the twilight Watching and waiting for stars to pass by I remember the times we used to watch the clouds dance Now I try to forget all the time that flew by A creature in armistice, still in spite of what we knew But life is a open wound, and it looks like you're cut too We're all just children of the blade You used to stay out and watch the sun rise But now its too cold and you’d rather stay in Now it takes you a while to wake cause you’re aching And it feels like you’d be better of stuck in bed But life won’t get better while you’re sleeping it away So get out of your own head and come on outside today And try something you’ve never done before You’ve never done before Children of the blade Come down and cut me from this aging prison Till I see you once again Stop running from your past Embrace all your mistakes with open arms They're sharpening a knife To cut your rusted blade And free you from a broken, brittle cage Don't hide away where the crows reside You're finally free to get up and fly You got it back, the life that you once had Now fly somewhere you've never seen before You’ve never seen before Children of the blade Come down and cut me from my aging prison I'll see you all again, in the end As a child of the blade

Swnn 05:38
A walk through the streets Seeing visions no one could see Drowning city A light shining bright Eclipsed by the night too soon Are you suffering You called my name, time’s moving slow Have you made up your mind? Are you ready to go? I know I never knew you So close, yet far away I saw the raw emotion Of hearts in disarray I listened from the sidelines As lives and minds regressed While you relived your lifetimes Prepared with no regrets There is no way I could comfort you But I, oh I, wish that I could still be there for you You called my name, time’s moving slow Have you made up your mind? Are you ready to go? You called my name, your time’s moving slow Have you made up your mind? Are you ready to go? I wrote you a song, a song with no name A stranger to me, but I'll love you the same

about

This EP is a collection of deeply personal events that have occurred in the last few years of my life. I hope that you enjoy the heart and soul that I've poured into these songs.

I'd like to thank my Dad for helping write the lyrics for Duster many years back (at least 5 years ago) and for supporting me through the strange career choice that is music.
And my old bandmate Harold for some of the lyrics in Children Of The Blade (Which used to be named Terminus on a 19 song concept album we wrote one summer)
